Sam Worthington as Marcus Wright, a Skynet human-terminator hybrid experiment. Worthington compared Marcus to Dorothy Gale and Alice due to being “this person waking up in another world [who then] tries to find himself”. Terminator creator James Cameron personally recommended Worthington (whom he directed in Avatar) to McG.
