Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad (Arabic: الطائر ابن لا أحد‎‎, meaning “The Flying Eagle, Son of Nobody”) is a fictional character in the Assassin’s Creed series. He serves as the main protagonist of Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed: Altaïr’s Chronicles and Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines. Altaïr also shares the role as protagonist in Assassin’s Creed: Revelations with Ezio Auditore da Firenze and is playable once in Assassin’s Creed II. He was generally well received by critics and gamers alike, although Philip Shahbaz’s voice-over performance was widely derided.
